2024/2025 Club Redevelopment Project

The Bribie RSL is thrilled to announce that our eagerly awaited renovations are already underway! The renovations will enhance the Sports Bar, Reception, Bottleshop, Gaming Room, and External Façade, bringing new and exciting upgrades for our members and visitors to enjoy.

 

These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to provide the best facilities and experiences for our valued Members. We anticipate that builders, Rubicon Design and Construct, will be onsite from the first week in August setting up site offices and beginning initial outdoor works. Stage 1 (Sports Bar, Reception, Bottleshop & Exterior Façade) will be open in July 2025, closely followed by Stage 2 (gaming room & memorabilia) in October 2025. As with our previous projects, we have planned carefully to ensure minimal disruption to your Club experience. We will continue to operate as close to normal as possible across all departments and are committed to ensuring our service and standards meet your expectations. Regular renovation e-newsletters will be sent to keep our Members up-to-date with progress, along with information on our website and social media pages.

Week 39 Construction Update

 

STRUCTURAL STEEL:

  • Structural steel is now being installed, expanding into the future Gaming Room.
  • Purlin installation is on track for completion by week’s end.

ROOFING:

  • Parapet wall sheeting to the Communications Room is underway, enhancing weather protection and structural finish.
  • Main roof sheeting installation is progressing, further securing the building envelope.
  • Installation of wire and edge protection is in progress to maintain site safety during elevated works.

CEILINGS & PARTITIONS:

  • Works on the external end wall are well underway, with full completion on track for the end of the week.
  • Ceiling installation and internal wall linings are progressing, bringing definition to the new interior spaces.

MECHANICAL:

  • New ductwork installation is powering ahead, laying the groundwork for future air conditioning and ventilation systems.

VARIOUS WORKS:

  • Roof penetrations, tundish capping, hoarding modifications, concrete cuts, and footing excavation are all progressing on schedule.
  • Critical preparation works continue across site, including surveying in the Whiskey Bar, soil testing for the new carpark, cold room measures, cable tray installations, and fire tank footing works.

With site activity full steam ahead and major works progressing strongly, momentum across all key areas is paving the way for the next stage of construction!
