FAQ
Q: Why do I have to sign in at your Club when I don't have to at the local hotel?
A: Queensland Liquor Licensing regulations stipulate that any visitor or reciprocal member must sign in upon entry.
Q: Do I have to be a member of an ex-service organisation to become a member?
A: No. Members of the community are welcome to join as Club Members, which allows them to access the benefits of regular Club membership.
Q: I am new on the Island, do I need to become a member straight away?
A: Yes, we recommend you join the Club so that you may begin to enjoy our facilities as soon as possible.
Q: Do I need to be a Bribie RSL Club member to purchase goods from "Diggers" bottleshop?
A: NO. You can be either a current Bribie RSL member or a current financial member of a reciprocal Club.
Q: Do you have a dress code?
A: Yes. The Club has a dress code at all times - club dress rules for more information
Q: Are children welcome to the Club?
A: Yes. We have the newly designed Gecko's playroom, children are welcome to visit the Club with a parent/guardian. Children must remain with parent/guardian at all times whilst in the Club.
Members and guests will require the following identification:
Members: A valid 2010/2011 Membership card, you maybe required to provide a drivers license or other appropriate ID.
Members Guests: Must be accompanied by the member and provide a drivers license or other appropriate ID.
Reciprocal Membership
This membership means that you are a financial member of another Club who has agreed to share reciprocal rights with our Club. You can sign yourself in, sign your guests in, plus you can make purchases from the Bottleshop. A reciprocal member must show a 2010 membership card of their reciprocal club and have a license or other acceptable ID.
Visitors to the Club Must have a current drivers license or acceptable ID, with evidence of current residential address.
* The Qld Liqour Act defines a visitor as a person normally residing outside the state of Qld or a resident of a foreign country. If residing within Qld, their address must be at least 15km from the premises of the club.
