The Bribie Island RSL & Citizens Memorial Club is administered by a Board of Directors comprising of 7 members, all of whom are elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Board acts in an honorary capacity and is steered by Club President Norm Emery. The Directors hold a position of trust and responsibility to the members: to ensure that the Club upholds its public reputation. The Directors formulate the policy and direction of the Club, assisted by recommendations forwarded from management and staff, via the General Manager, Michael Effting. The directors ensure that these policies are carried out by management, whilst conforming to the laws and regulations as defined by Corporation’s Law and the Liquor Act. It is a rule of the Liquor Act that employees cannot stand for election as a Director, however if they are a member of the Club they do have the right to vote. The Management Team is made up of:
